But the air was crisp like a fall day and though there was a fire in the stove in the house the celebration was held outside…
I liked this shot of the sky the chimney smoke and the fall leaves and the folks were all gathered in little groups around the yard and fields of Serenity Farm sharing tales of the old days and renewing acquaintances
And in the barn there was a layout of food and a display of pictures covering the years since the farm was founded 
And all round the area were signs of the changes that were made over the past 35 years since this property was just a wooded area backed by a swamp.
It was a nice time and I even had a chat with the household dogs
on the way home the blue sky was being invaded by some menacing rain clouds 
and though we didn’t get great pictures they will serve to bring back memories of a fine day with old friends.
So there you have a glimpse of yesterday and here is the little quote for today…..

It was a memorable day - I loved the comradery,scenary and delicious food! The pulled-pork cooked and seasoned just right and more than enough for the many in attendance. In my condensed and somewhat reclusive world, I tend to gravitate to my writings, study, genealogy and oil painting ergo one can imagine how pleasurable yesterday was for me and to be w/my long-time friend the 'Viking' ... Also, meeting for the first time a true woman of the sea whose ancestors were ship captains and ship builders. I love the ocean but being an Aries and a creature of fire I've had an apprehension of it all my life thusly, never took to swimming. Friday was our 33rd year living on our old 'farm'. Time sure flies.....
